Using Facebook for Marketing
It may feel daunting to consider using social media to market our businesses. The general perception is it would take hours and hours and hours to successfully navigate through the world of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter, and any others that have popped up since I quit paying attention. There is however, one simple Facebook tactic that you can employ quickly and easily to get your word out there build trust and start to generate traffic to your website.
By now most of you are aware that Facebook has the ability to record live videos Via Facebook live. But you may feel somewhat intimidated about having to broadcast a live video that would appear scripted insincere or what if you say the wrong thing? Not to mention that if you’re employed by a broker dealer, you have to have everything compliance approved first. So what’s a professional to do?

The secret here is to leverage Zoom. The free version of Zoom will allow you to record a video upload it to YouTube and share it on Facebook. Then by simply boosting the post, your video will get exposure to thousands of people.
So now you’re asking yourself well that’s all fine and dandy but what should I post? My best tip is to do a weekly divorce tip that is no more than about 2 min long. You can sit down and write out a list of ideas and roll them out once a week. Not only will you have an active social media profile, but you’ll also be building a library of videos on your YouTube channel positioning you as the expert in your field.
There’s another secret about video that makes it particularly effective as an advertising method.
It makes people feel like they’re getting to know you on a more personal level even though you’ve never met them! Our business is one that’s based on trust and confidence. The use of video will allow you to put your personality out to the public and start to inspire trust before a client has ever reached out to you. That’s powerful!
